Economy Easy-Lite Intellistage Stages Kits

Lightweight Modular Portable Stages – Easy-Lite IntelliStage®

For over 25 years, Easy-Lite IntelliStage® Lightweight has set the standard in the lightweight modular portable stage category. Designed for fast setup, compact storage and production-grade strength, it remains a premier choice for schools, churches, venues and multipurpose spaces.

Today, many accordion-style X-riser stage systems may look similar online, but they are not engineered the same. Easy-Lite uses an integrated platform frame, nine-point riser support and four internal hex-key locking points that secure the riser directly into the platform structure—not just clips, tabs or perimeter latches.

Rated at 157 lbs per square foot — 2,512 lbs per 4′ × 4′ platform uniformly distributed — Easy-Lite also offers an exceptional range of riser heights, platform shapes and stage configurations, making it suitable for everything from small presentation stages to grand pianos and properly configured vehicle displays.

For over 20 years, The Stage Depot has helped schools, churches, government facilities, event venues, and production professionals compare and select portable stages, modular stage platforms, and risers.

We sell only trusted, proven stage brands from established U.S.-based companies—not unproven generic imports, mass-market products, or marketplace look-alikes with unclear testing, warranties, or support.

Why? Because a stage isn’t a commodity—it’s a structure people stand on. If a staging system doesn’t have credible load information, a manufacturer-backed warranty, and dependable product support, don’t put people on it.

We help customers choose the right staging system based on application, load requirements, setup style, environment, and budget. Our selection includes lightweight and heavy-duty aluminum and steel stage systems engineered for strength, safety, and fast setup.

Easy-Lite IntelliStage: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What exactly is the Easy-Lite IntelliStage system?

Easy-Lite is our lightweight, aluminum-framed modular staging system that uses separate platforms and collapsible accordion risers instead of attached legs.

Platforms come in 3' x 3' and 4' x 4' sizes, plus square, triangle and quarter-round shapes so you can build rectangles, runways or angled layouts. Because the riser supports are separate collapsible pieces rather than legs fixed to the deck, both the platforms and the risers nest and stack for very compact storage.

Q: What heights can an Easy-Lite stage be set to?

Easy-Lite is available at 8", 12", 16", 18", 24" and 32", with approved stacking configurations for taller builds.

16" is a versatile starting point for many school, church and multipurpose-room programs. Go lower (8"-12") for low-profile presentations or younger performers, and higher (24"-32") when you need better sightlines for a larger audience — just plan stairs, rails and access alongside the height you pick.

Q: How much weight can an Easy-Lite stage hold?

Easy-Lite is rated for 157 lbs per square foot, with a properly assembled 4' x 4' platform supporting up to 2,512 lbs uniformly distributed.

That's a uniformly distributed load rating — weight spread evenly across the deck. It's not automatically a rating for a concentrated point load (like a piano caster) or a dynamic load (like dancing or jumping), so check with us if your event involves either of those.

Q: What surface and color options are available?

Easy-Lite platforms are available in gray carpet, black carpet, black industrial finish and Tuff-Coat™.

Carpet finishes give a quieter, more finished look for presentations and worship spaces. Industrial and Tuff-Coat finishes hold up well to frequent handling and heavier foot traffic.

Q: How much storage space does Easy-Lite need?

Easy-Lite is one of our most compact systems to store — platforms stack and the accordion risers collapse flat, fitting within roughly a 4' x 4' storage footprint.

That makes it a strong fit for schools and churches with limited closet or storage-room space. As with any system, measure your doorways, hallways and any storage cart you plan to use before ordering.

Q: How many people does it take to set up an Easy-Lite stage?

Most Easy-Lite configurations can be set up by one or two people.

Individual platforms and risers are sized to be manageable without a large crew, which is a big part of why schools, churches and volunteer teams gravitate toward this system. Staff should still be trained on the assembly sequence, locking connections and pre-use inspection before running the stage unsupervised.

Q: Can I start small and add more Easy-Lite platforms later?

Yes — Easy-Lite is modular, so you can buy platforms and risers individually to grow, reshape or re-height your stage as your needs change.

This is one of the main advantages of the system: a stage bought for a small assembly today can be expanded into a larger graduation or concert configuration later using compatible components, without replacing what you already own.

Q: Is Easy-Lite a good fit for outdoor use, grass or uneven ground?

Easy-Lite is built and best suited for firm, level indoor floors — it is not the first choice for slopes, soft grass or significant outdoor leveling.

If your event moves outdoors onto grass, a slope or a curb, our All-Terrain system is purpose-built for independent leveling on uneven ground. We're happy to help you compare the two if you have both indoor and outdoor events on the calendar.

Q: What size Easy-Lite stage do I need?

Size for your busiest event, not your smallest one.

  • 8' x 8' or 8' x 12': a speaker, lectern or small award presentation.
  • 12' x 16' or 16' x 16': many school, church and small performance layouts.
  • 12' x 24' or larger: bands, graduations and groups with instruments or chairs.

These are planning starting points — sketch performers, instruments, chairs and clear movement space at scale, and add room outside the platform footprint for stairs, ramps and guardrails.

Q: What accessories are available for an Easy-Lite stage?

Stairs, guardrails, skirts, backdrops, ramps and transportation cases/trolleys are all available for Easy-Lite.

We can also build a fully custom kit if none of our standard configurations match your exact footprint or budget — just give us a call or use the online stage builder for an instant quote.

Q: How is Easy-Lite different from ProFlex Feather-Lite or EZ-Lock?

All three are aluminum systems, but they solve setup and storage differently.

Easy-Lite uses separate platforms and collapsible accordion risers, giving you the broadest height and specialty-shape choices with very compact nested storage. ProFlex Feather-Lite uses 4' x 4' all-in-one folding platforms with attached telescoping legs, built around one-person handling. EZ-Lock uses removable fixed, telescoping or caster legs, including a waterproof all-aluminum option.

Choose Easy-Lite when compact riser storage and layout flexibility matter most to you.

Q: What warranty comes with an Easy-Lite stage?

Easy-Lite IntelliStage carries a 2.5-year manufacturer warranty.

Every Stage Depot system also comes with our Quality & Warranty Promise and U.S.-based support, so replacement parts and expansion components stay available well beyond your first purchase.

Q: What kind of venues typically use Easy-Lite?

Schools, churches, hotels, exhibition halls and community organizations are the most common Easy-Lite buyers.

It's a strong fit anywhere a small team needs to reconfigure a stage often, store it compactly between uses, and occasionally expand its footprint or shape without buying a whole new system.
